Summary: Good luster, but quality not worth the original price

I bought a pair of these after they dropped the price to $99, and over all I am pleased with them. I was a bit disappointed to see that one of the earrings has a very apparent flaw, but pleased with the luster. I shopped around in many different stores for a nice set of black Tahitian pearl earrings, and this sets luster was great. No, they are not black, but that is not the color they really are! They are a silvery-iridescent color, just as every other pair I saw in this price range was. In order to get a true "black" luster, you are going to need to spend much more than this! With the apparent flaw, I feel that the $99 dollars I spent was a bit steep, but still a deal.
Again, the luster is GREAT as long as you know that they will NOT be as pictured above! I included a little clip to show you their color. Hope you find what you want!

Comment: I was shocked that the pearls look far more of a silver grey color than the black shown. The wife loved them so that's what counts but I never would have bought them if I had seen an actual picture them. Yes I had seen these kind of pearls before but never so light in color.

Comment: Both of the studs had pearls with unacceptable flaws. I had to return them with Amazon paying for return shipping. I found the same size pearl studs of much higher quality on sale for roughly the same price at Macy's in the mall near us. I do not know if the low quality of these pearls is representative of others that Amazon may have in stock but I was not going to take the time and effort to find out since they purchased for a Christmas gift.
